ETICA project outreach workers updated their knowledge on the TB case detection algorithm
On February 9-10, 2023, in Dushanbe city, the Republican Public Organization “Afif” conducted a refresh training on the topic “Social support for tuberculosis and drug-resistant tuberculosis” in the fraimwork of the USAID End Tuberculosis in Central Asia Project (ETICA), which was attended by outreach workers and project coordinators from Sugd and Khatlon regions.
At the training, participants in an interactive format honed their skills in case management approaches, detection of new TB cases, assistance in initiating treatment and building adherence to treatment of drug-resistant tuberculosis by providing a patient-centered approach, and also updated knowledge in the field of transmission and prevention of tuberculosis.
