Working meeting with representatives of law enforcement agencies was held in Bokhtar

On August 12, 2021, the Republican public organization "Afif" held a working meeting in Bokhtar city of Khatlon region, which was attended by employees of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Khatlon region, the Department of the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in Khatlon region, regional AIDS and narcology centers, UNDP, as well as representatives of key populations and civil society organizations.

The event was held within the framework of the project "Strengthening the supportive environment and expanding prevention and treatment measures to reduce the burden of HIV and tuberculosis in the Republic of Tajikistan" with financial support of UNDP Tajikistan. The purpose of the working meeting was to establish close cooperation in the implementation of the National Program to Combat the HIV and AIDS Epidemic in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025

During the working meeting, the partners discussed  the ways to improve interaction to protect the rights of key populations and prevent HIV infection among PWID, as well as the practical application of instructions on how to prevent HIV and AIDS infection among law enforcement officers working with vulnerable groups of the population.
