Multisectoral cooperation to improve TB services was discussed in Khujand city

On August 26, 2021, RPO Afif, within the framework of the USAID Eliminating TB in Central Asia Project (USAID ETICA), held a working meeting of the service provider partners network in Khujand city, which was attended by 25 representatives of regional and district health structures, public and international organizations, as well as representatives of key populations.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of multi-sectoral cooperation between government departments, medical institutions, public organizations and councils of key population groups in the timely detection, treatment and social support of people affected by tuberculosis. The results of the activities of the USAID Eliminating TB in Central Asia Project for the period October 2020 - June 2021 were also presented. This project is being implemented to reduce the burden of tuberculosis in Tajikistan by building local and regional capacities to improve detection and treatment of TB and DR-TB.
