July 14, 2018 – three day training on “Harm reduction and Client management” was completed in Khudjand city. 24 members of Key population Advisory Councils and community based organizations from the Dushanbe city, Khatlon and Sughd regions took part at training.
As of beginning of 2018, four public organizations started implementation of the AFEW-Tajikistan Strategy on enhanced involvement of the key populations into the process of development, implementation and monitoring of the HIV prevention and client management projects.
In the course of interactive training, participants got to know the goals, objectives and key indicators for the harm reduction and client management programs.
In conclusion the representatives of the key populations advisory councils discussed in details their tasks and got acquainted with the terms and operation of the mechanism of clients complaints in public organizations.
The training was organized by the Republican public organization “AFEW-Tajikistan” within the "Bridging the Gaps: Health and Rights of key populations - 2.0" Program, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
