On September 2 - 3, 2020, in Dushanbe, the Republican public organization "Afif" conducted the training on "Maintaining TB registration and reporting forms and the procedure for registering TB/MDR-TB patients in the electronic system OpenMRS". The training was organized according the Joint Plan of activities of the Main Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Punishment of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan and RPO “Afif”. This activity was held within the framework of the project "TB prevention and care in prisons" funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The training was attended by 20 medical and non-medical staff of pilot correctional institutions 3/1, 3/2, 3/3, 3/4, 3/5, 3/6, 3/7, 3 / 8, 3/12 and 3/13 of the Main Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Punishment of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the training, the participants were acquainted with the registration and reporting forms on tuberculosis and the procedure for the timely introduction of data into the electronic system for tuberculosis OpenMRS.

Reference: The project "TB prevention and care in prisons" is aimed at mobilizing the resources of the penitentiary and civil health sectors of the Republic of Tajikistan and public organizations to introduce a sustainable system for early detection of tuberculosis, timely treatment and support for adherence to treatment of tuberculosis, drug-resistant tuberculosis, TB / HIV among convicts and people released from prison.
