Republican Public Organization “Afif” is launching a new project, “Prevention of coronavirus infection COVID-19 expansion in Penal System of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan”, which is funded by Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation in Tajikistan.
The main objective of the project is to assist the penitentiary system of the Republic of Tajikistan in ensuring sanitary and epidemiological safety and protecting the health of staff and convicted at institutions of the Penal System under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to conduct information sessions for staff and prisoners of the penitentiary system on prevention of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and safety at the workplace, as well as the provision of preventive materials and personal protective equipment.
This intervention will contribute to the joint efforts of the penitentiary health system and civil society in protecting the health of prisoners, staff and visitors at penitentiary institutes.
