ETICA project outreach workers update knowledge on TB social support
On February 17-18, 2022, in Dushanbe city, within the framework of the USAID Eliminating TB in Central Asia Project (ETICA), the Republican Public Organization “Afif” conducted a training on the topic “Social support for tuberculosis” for outreach workers from Sughd and Khatlon regions.
At the training, participants updated information on tuberculosis, discussed the algorithm for detecting tuberculosis cases and methods for providing psychosocial assistance to DR-TB patients, and also developed skills to assist in initiating, supporting treatment and building adherence, taking into account a patient-centered approach.
