On September 18, 2020, the meeting of the Working Group on Health Protection in the System of Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan (SECS MJ RT) was held in Dushanbe.

        On September 18, 2020, the meeting of the Working Group on Health Protection in the System of Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan (SECS MJ RT) was held in Dushanbe. 28 representatives of the Penitentiary System of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the RT, workers of public and international organizations participated in the meeting. 

     The participants of the working group got acquainted with the results of the first year of implementation of the five-year project "TB Prevention and Care in Prisons", funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and exchanged views on the prevention of TB and HIV in the country's penitentiary system. 

           Since 2003, the above-mentioned working group has been a permanent coordination mechanism for health protection in the system of execution of criminal penalties of the Republic of Tajikistan. 

Reference: The five-year USAID project "TB Prevention and Care in Prisons" is being implemented in the Republic of Tajikistan since January 15, 2020 by the RPO "Afif" in cooperation with the SECS MJ RT, the services of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan and public organizations "Amali nek" and "Vita".
