Representatives of Advisory councils of key population groups increase their knowledge in the field of health and social protection

On September 15-16, 2018, the training "Legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan on Health and Social Protection” was held in Dushanbe.

21 representatives of Advisory Councils and Equal consultants of public organizations working in the field of HIV and AIDS in Dushanbe, Khatlon and Sughd regions took part in the training.

The participants of the training were acquainted with the basic information on the work of "street lawyers" and the main regulation of the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan under No. 600 on "Organization of health and sanitary services for citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan in the public health system of Tajikistan".

In the practical part of the training, the participants learned how to organize the primary counseling and got to know the ways of documenting complaints and appeals from key population groups on issues of obtaining medical and social assistance.

The training was organized by POO "AFEW-Tajikistan" in the framework of the project "Bridging the Gaps: Health and Rights of key populations 2.0", funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
