On  December 17-20, 2019, in Dushanbe training “Course on prevention of drugs and HIV problems” will be conducted. The event is organized by Republican public organization “Afif” in cooperation with Ministry of internal affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of health and social protection of population of the Republic of Tajikistan under the project “Supporting initiatives to improve National Drug Policy in the Republic of Tajikistan” funded by Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation – Tajikistan.

The representatives of the Ministry of internal affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan from the cities of Kulob, Bokhtar, Khorog, Khujand, Dushanbe and  RRS are invited to training. The main goal of the training is to increase participants' knowledge and skills on issues related to drugs and HIV infection, safety on workplace and the skills of public speaking.

During the training, participants will familiarize with the key points of the Instruction for the implementation of HIV prevention measures for law enforcement officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, increase their knowledge about types of drugs, psychoactive substances (PAS), the features of using PAS and drug addiction, learn the methods of referring key populations to demand services, as well as development of public speaking skills on HIV prevention and drug use.

The training will be conducted within the framework of the joint pPlan of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and Republican Public Organization “Afif” for 2019-2020.
