PEER CONSULTANS LERNT THE SKILLS OF PROVISION OF HIV PRE TEST CONSULTATIONS

Two days training on “Skills of provision HIV pretest consultations” was held in Bokhtar city of Khatlon region. 

15-16 of November 2018 the Republican public organization «AFEW-Tajikistan» by supporting UN Development Program conducted two days training for peer consultants of organization.  16 peer consultants, social workers, the staff of Representative office of AFEW-Tajikistan in Khatlon region and representatives of regional AIDS center of Bokhtar city participated in the training.   

The training was organized in interactive form. During the training social workers and peer-consultants of the project learnt the aim and tasks of provision of HIV pretest consultation. Training participants applied gained knowledge on algorithm of provision of HIV pretest consultation in the group activities and practically used the skills during the role-plays.   

The training was conducted by RPO “AFEW-Tajikistan” by the support of Republican AIDS center of MHSPP RT in the framework of the project «Strengthen supportive environment and scale up prevention treatment, and care to contain HIV epidemic in the Republic of Tajikistan», financed by Global Fund of combating HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria through UNDP.
